§ 2-2-301 Generally
All vehicles operated on the roadways of this state shall be equipped with;
(a) a rear facing state issued license plate;
(b) a windshield or wind deflector unless the vehicle is a motorcycle;
(c) a factory installed horn;
(d) working headlamps and brakelamps; and
(e) working turn signals or four-way flashers.
All vehicles operated on the roadways of this state shall;
(a) be roadworthy and in good working order;
(b) have tires that are suitable for road use; and
(c) not be dangerous or cause any danger to public safety or human life.
No vehicle operated on the roadways of this state shall be equipped with;
(a) a non factory or aftermarket exhaust;
(b) a non factory or aftermarket horn or audible device;
(c) with window tint that is too dark to clearly see the occupants in sunny weather conditions; or
(d) a smoke emitting device.
Violating this subsection is a $100 Fine for the first offense, on the second offense it also includes the immediate surrender of the offenders vehicle.
