§ 2-3-301 Leaving the Scene of a Motor Vehicle Accident
No person that operates a motor vehicle on the roadways of this state shall leave the scene of a motor vehicle accident that they are directly or indirectly involved in, without first having an accident report filed with the local authority.
Violating this subsection is a Class (A) Misdemeanor. Violating this subsection when the accident involves injuries is a Class (C) Misdemeanor.
